Hệ điều hành WearOS 3: “đứa con” của Google & Samsung Tizen

Trong sự kiện Google I/O 2021 vừa qua, gã khổng lồ tìm kiếm chính thức giới thiệu Hệ điều hành cho thiết bị theo thông minh mới – WearOS 3 với sự kết hợp mạnh mẽ cùng Samsung Tizen.

Sau 5 năm, Android Wear 2.0 được cho rằng là một bước nhảy vọt cho nền tảng thì mới đây Google đã nhắc lại điều này với WearOS 3 khi nói đến một nền tảng thống nhất, cùng những trải nghiệm hoàn toàn mới cũng như tốt như ngay trên cổ tay bạn. Như công bố trong sự kiện Google I/O 2021 diễn ra trực tuyến vào đêm qua, WearOS 3 được cho là “đứa con lai” của Google và Samsung. Cụ thể, bằng cách hợp tác với Samsung và kết hợp những điểm mạnh của Tizen OS, hệ điều hành cho thiết bị đeo mới sẽ có hiệu suất nhanh hơn (lên đến 30% trên “chipset mới nhất”), thời lượng pin lâu hơn và “cộng đồng nhà phát triển thịnh vượng” cho các ứng dụng của bên thứ ba.

Để đạt được thời lượng pin lâu hơn, Google đã làm việc để tối ưu hóa các lớp thấp hơn của hệ điều hành – tận dụng các lõi phần cứng năng lượng thấp để mang lại thời gian sử dụng pin tốt hơn. Điều đó bao gồm các tối ưu hóa tiện dụng như khả năng chạy cảm biến nhịp tim liên tục trong ngày, theo dõi giấc ngủ của bạn qua đêm và vẫn có pin để sử dụng cho ngày hôm sau.

Về mặt giao diện trực quan, hệ thống điều hướng mới giúp hoàn thành công việc nhanh hơn. Ví dụ: hành động nhấn đúp vào nút cho phép bạn nhanh chóng chuyển sang ứng dụng được sử dụng gần đây nhất của mình, trong khi công cụ phát triển WearOS là Tiles hiện được mở cho tất cả các nhà phát triển. Tuy nhiên, trọng tâm lớn của “trải nghiệm người tiêu dùng hoàn toàn mới” là ứng dụng.

Google Maps (với chỉ đường từng chặng) và Trợ lý “đang được thiết kế lại và cải tiến”. Tương tự, Google Play sẽ bổ sung hỗ trợ cho 26 quốc gia mới, ngoài 11 quốc gia hiện tại. Bên cạnh đó, YouTube Music sẽ có sẵn vào cuối năm nay với tính năng tải xuống thông minh, với tính năng lưu trữ ngoại tuyến. Song song đó, Fitbit cũng sẽ là đại diện cung cấp những trải nghiệm mang tính thể dục – thể thao trên Thế hệ WearOS mới như tracking và nêu cao thành tích của mỗi cá nhân khi đeo thiết bị thông minh smartwatch hay smartband.

WearOS sẽ chính thức có mặt vào Mùa Thu 2021 này. Dự kiến, Galaxy Watch4 series chính là chuỗi thiết bị đầu tiên được cài sẵn “đứa con lai” này.
